3 Boleyn Brigade in action
« on: 23 January 2010, 01:08:32 PM »
A series of phots showing the French advancing towards the Cricket Green, all that prevents them halting the annual Marsh Vs Manderville game are elements of 3 Boleyn Bde, rather ruff types who specialize in the ungentlemanly art of street brawls!

The dismounted Dragoons spy the French approaching, as soon as the Frenchie is within range the signal is given and the tank streaks forwards at 1 mile in the hour unleashing a round from its forward right hand spontoon gun at the surprised Frenchies! (Non of this port and starboard stuff we are Army types and port is for drinking or wenching!)

Bleedin 'ell guvnor! That's some impressive armour there! Great seeing it squeeze through the village, it really put the scale into perspective.

Ha! I love the "Berlin Brigade" style urban camo on that big landship. She obviously has an expert driver, judging by the clearance between the buildings  lol

Great stuff - more pics please  ;)

Wow! First time I actually see the Redoubt landship in action! I've always wanted one of those, but could never get myself to buying one...

Indeed. Would a few more shots be possible?
I told you so. You damned fools.

A few shots, games table now packed away.

Front

Left, two hatches were missing so being lazy I just made a "closed" pair of hatches, nice and easy with no rivets!

Right

Rear

The Redoubt commander in a scratch built "cupola" with a Nordfeld gun from a Copplestone pack

Inside, not much detail, one would expect more levers pipes etc, and I was tempted put to a raised platform in the centre to match the section on the roof with the cupola.

It is an ok and imposing wargames model. A bargin from ebay, that with a bit of work has turned out nicely. The tracksare very thin and for real the ground pressure would cause this beast to sink on concrete, and unable to turn for throwing a track! But it is VSF!
