GW Tyranids turned into bugs

I am really liking these as well and i never been a bug, er Tyranid, fan.  LOL
As for the wings, these need them as well.
But for wings, what route are you going?
Something scratch or somethign scrounged from another source?
Pics if scrounged possible???  :-)

To get a nice bug carapice look, I under coat with a metalic red, blue, or purple. Then wash with a gloss or semi gloss black.

Oh, I'm going to have to do this too! I'm seeing Tyranids in whole new light, Bravo!

Especailly as last night at the LGS, our most prominent (i.e. loud) player had an absolute tizzy fit over one of us calling Tyranids 'bugs'.

"They are not BUGS, they are more like a multilegged dinosaur, you (edited) piece of (editied)!"

He actually quit the game and stormed out...and I remembered these, and the paint job just makes it more beautiful.

Am I bad for wanting to duplicate this just to annoy him?

Try pressing the miniature on the picture, then rub the back of your screen so that the colors get transferred to the miniature. If this doesn't work, you need to get your brushes and paints and apply the color the old fashioned way... 

You need to make sure you're using a flat screen and use a quarter to do the rubbing. That works best for applying the color. A firm hard rubbing with it.

The bugs look great BTW
