Watchmen in .45A
« on: 11 May 2007, 01:21:16 PM »
Hi all:

I was tinkering with the Idea of using some super-heroes in .45 Adventure games, but not real super-heroes, just some kind of masked adventurers with some gadgets. I think that the .45A systems suits this kind of characters very well.

So far I am working in my own hero, The Corpse, which I hope to present in this forum soon.

Question is: it would be nice to have some profiles for non-superpowerful superheroes in .45A, people like Rorschach or Night Owl, or even Ozymandias (Not Dr. Manhattan). Anyone tried something similar?

One of the guys in Maryland that games with Pete has been toying with an idea similar to this. I talked with him briefly at Cold Wars about it. I think he's on the forum, but if not Pete or Deathwing will let him know about your post.

Illumisar. I'm pretty sure he's a member here.

And yes, he said he "had some ideas" which translated to like 40 pages of stuff.

Thats cool. i've been thinking about .45 Adv for superheroes a lot recently also. The newest DC Heroclix set has a lot of Golden Age Heroes and i think .45 Adv would be a great ruleset for them.
A lot can be done (I think) with the rules we have now. "Normal" humans such as Batman can be made using existing Archetypes, the problem comes in with the exotic powers such as flight.

That's the reason what I'm interested in this kind of ruleset  8)
