[VBCW] Conversions of interest and other minutiae
« on: 11 February 2010, 11:20:36 AM »
Here we have some gentlemen ready for a jolly good scrap against those dem Communists, and back home in time for tea.

Not sure where this is going... I'm supposed to be making VSF and Warhammer armies  o_o

Questions? Comments? Anyone guess what the basic models are?

P.S. It is meant to be a tea cup, not a coffee mug :(

I think the fellow on the left needs a moustache as well.

Thanks for the comment :)

Really nice conversion 8)

..and I’m pretty sure they are KKBB figures (Copplestone)
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://tistaminis.com/

Indeed most splendid!
They were all drawn to the Keep; the soldiers who brought death; the father and daughter fighting for life; the people who have always feared it; and the one man who knows its secret....

Yes! They are KKBB KGB Agents by Copplestone :) They are pretty cool figures. I used one for Jack Bauer in the 24 movie. The rest I didn't know what to do with until now  :D

Gentlemen with guns ?

Only a cad or bounder would use a submachine gun, any gentleman would choose a trusty purdy or a webley :~}

Nice figures though.
Gary, Glynis, and Alasdair (there are three of us, but we are too mean to have more than one login)

Thanks.

So, perhaps not as gentlemanly as intended... however, they might be teamed up with this fellow:

A very proper-looking chap, wouldn't you say?  ;)

I think probably gentlemen are allowed to use machine guns on bolshies, though. Dash it all, normal rules don't apply, what?

Indeed.

Although they should probably wear gloves, some of the Americans call them grease guns. It would never do down at the club to look like some kind of demmed mechanic !

Time for port :~}

Excellent!

The artizan model posted above would need glasses rather than the eyeglass surely though.

Wonderful conversions, I imaghine I would do similar.

What about the gripping beast hunting team? ???

There is a lot of excellent stuff out there! I just checked out the Hunting team and they look great!

I have vowed not to spend any money on this yet, though :-X

My next step is converting WF Colonials into BUF!

I might also add, the umbrella is an indispensable bit of kit when it's raining. As long as there is a figure with an umbrella adjacent any negative modifiers for rain-related activity are reduced by one (or a relevant increment).

Something new:

But.. I need your help!

Which do you think works better? A or B? Neither? I would appreciate any suggestions :) I have seen Musketeers' B.U.F., and from those I draw inspiration. They are awesome.

For an hours work, though, I think it's alright.

So should I keep doing socks? The legs in B look better in my opinion... but they take a bit longer.

I also have a story for my previous conversions, and an explanation as to the German SMG.

It appears that Mosley's manifesto was protectionist, as well as anti-Communist. And that meant restricting trade between other states/countries by way of Govt. imposed laws and tariffs.

So, the previous models are actually the owners/workers of a trading company being asked by the B.U.F to hand over their goods and stop trading... to which the answer is "bugger off". I'll think up some names and things later, but that's going to be the basis for my first game, happening I don't know when.
