Nice, though it looks like your applying your paint on a litle to thick, try dry brushing some lighter shades onto them or a wash to add some shades.  ;)

I've gotten better over the past few months but, yeah, I do put on a lot of paint. Considering I finally broke down and bought some Kolinsky Sable brushes recently (the Chess Master was the first mini I used them on), hopefully that will force me to get better about it.

Some of them are PCs for Dark Heresy, some are for Inquisimunda (which I'm working on right now), and some are just for fun.

The Ork Trukk will show up now

Yeah, they look pretty good. It's nice to be able to see your skills progressing. I particularly like the chess master and the ruble bases.

Have to agree with my learned colleague there...definately thin your paints dwn, (especially if you are using GW foundation colours too at they are much too thick). Invest in some VJ Thinner rather than just water, thins the paint really well but keeps the pigment.

The more practice you have the better you'll become, both in use of products and in application techniques.

Good luck

I'm honestly curious why you all think I don't thin my paint enough? How can you tell?

I'm not trying to be facetious, just curious...

They have a look about them, that's all I can say really, a little over smoothed and almost filled in in places.

It's something you get to know and recognise after a while.
