Filmed in thrilling Rattrap-O-Vision!
« on: February 24, 2010, 09:08:23 AM »

A poster/flyer for the game I'll be running in a few weeks at Trumpeter Salute over in Vancouver.

Anyone got any more suggestions for movie-flavoured joke lines for that bottom section?

Most pulp players resemble that remark, in my experience!

A friend had a quick text-only tentfold card during a recent convention game he hosted, with basic game information on it. This inspired my poster above, which really contains no basic information beyond the title of the game, but should get a bit more interest while I'm setting up!

No worries, pictures will be available.

Assuming it's in the same hall as two years ago, one entire wall of the main hall Trumpeter Salute uses is glass, so the lighting is less awful than many similar gyms and halls.

I got some pretty good photos of all sorts of good stuff in 2008, hopefully more of the same this year!

Thanks for posting those pictures of trumpeter 2008!  Very inspiring board layout for the pulp game.  Seems we both have the same idea about how to create cost effective rivers.  Mine look almost identical.  It was a shock when I saw them, I wondered for a second if I had loaned them out about that time.  :o

Your German marines look great too. I especially like your half track truck.

Oh and Maj.Payne the half track and German marines are Bob Murch's own figures the photos are from the excellent game he put on that year!both WL and myself were lucky enough to playin it!

While I'd love to take credit for that 2008 game, that was all Bob Murch of Pulp Figures work, he runs awesome games and is directly responsible for me being here and into this whole pulp insanity!

I gather Bob will be back at this year's Trumpeter, presumably with that amazing game setup too. I'm looking forward to seeing it with another two years of improvements; several of the buildings in the Chinese town were unfinished when he used them back in 08.

My own pulp setup is much more modest; the scenario for Trumpeter is on a 3'x3' felt mat, all jungle and ruins. I won't have anything as spectacular as Bob's setup anytime soon!
