Very nice. I like those, they are a lot "bluer" than others I have seen but it works a treat.

I've always wondered, were Dare to Die troops real, or just a gaming conceit?

In the Documantry film "Modern Warfare in China 1924-1925" is a short scene showing a unit of soldiers only armed with large swords very similar to those miniatures.
They are called "detachments of special destination" there.
So the question is, what was their "destination"?  :D
I think, they where not assault or fighting troops but rather responsible for beheading of "special" prisoners after the battle.
