That's nice. What the heck is it? I mean, obviously it's a half-track of some kind, but when does it date from? What was it used for?

French, Inter-war, and for lugging around Asia, right? Or at least that's how I've seen them.

It's a beaut.

Cool! Do you you know the books about these expeditions: Expedition Afrika and Expedition Seidenstrasse? I  only know the one about Africa. Great photos in there...

Sahara, eh? Ralph Fiennes could have done with one of those on his little jaunt. It's really cute. Cuter than Kristin Scott Thomas, anyway.

These 1/43 models are made in China by Universal Hobbies for Editions Atlas in France and sold along with a magazine called Passion Citroën which comes out every 2 weeks or so.

It is a 1922 Citroen-Kégresse P4, used in the first automobile crossing of the Sahara. Other expeditions include the Croisière Noire (1928, lit. The Black Cruise) which set off in Algeria and arrived in  Madagascar and the Croisière Jaune (1931-32, lit. The Yellow Cruise) from Beyrouth to Beijing. There was also a Croisière Blanche (1934) in Northwest Canada.

Passion Citroën also released a 1931 P17 Citroën-Kégresse used for the Croisière Jaune:

They are completely out of scale as you can see on the following photos but I reckon it's allright for pulp. B company and Sloppy Jallopy have been talking about making some in proper 28mm scale.

got another "opened" version of the car, a bit too large, though nice one to convert etc.

On the "too big" issue, I´ve found that adding driver and/or passenger figures helps very much in disguising scale differences. Of course, finding a LE driver might prove difficult - maybe convert a machine gunner?

As I've said in another thread, it is way too big for a P17 Kégresse but it could pass for a fictional large hafltrack in the SdKfz.7 class.
