Once more Brother Cedric has pursued the Spear of Saint Lindorf to Jellsway, the capital of Treyine. He knows that the Spear lies within the Church of Saint Lindorf on an island at the centre of the city but must first fight his way through the guards before he can enter the Church and take possession of the Spear. Can Brother Cedric succeed where previously he has repeatedly failed? And what's this about Barbax's paternity suit against him? For that matter, what will Brother Cedric do with the horses she has sent him, and why did she send them?
