Jay,
Missed this last week.
Glad I came back and looked .
Outstanding figures and terrain.
Can't say enough, love it.
Like the idea about the victory conditions.
Thanks for sharing.

Would you share your technique on painting your faux fur gaming mat please.
I have one ready for paint and really do not want to destroy it at this point.
I love the way yours turned out, great work all around.

Thank you,

Hi Jim,

I buy my mats from a guy by the name of David Skibicki (http://spudnick080.blogspot.com).  His wife handles all the email communication if you want to reach out to them.  The contact email is lissa_0729@yahoo.com.

For myself, I've done a few mats - but it is just a ton of work and I lack time.  David does the same approach as I do.  Assuming you've got the shaving part down (which is an art unto itself).  The vast majority of the mats are dry brushed.  Some light airbrushing can be done, but I've found dry brushing does the best and penetrates the paint further into the fibers than an airbrush does.  Also, don't use spray cans ... very bad ... the paint is too thick and will ruin the mat --- airbrush works because the paint has to be watered down/diluted for the air brush to work.

Regards,

Jay
