Motorized Tachanka

I built this model for my current Rocketman campaign. Its meant to be a sort of LRDG version of a Tachanka. The original model is a converted Matchbox Renault truck (I cut the cab and box off) and the figures are Copplestone (though the drivers body is an old wehrmacht figure, which I have no idea who made it as its been knocking around my scraps box for years).

BTW the faces do have details, but the flash on my camera is unforgiving.

Bollix.
Its a plastic 40K guards rifle which has been carved up a bit and had an ammo box mounted.

That would be a current edition Imperial Guard Cadian-issue lasgun (Warhammer 40k) that's met the business end of an x-acto and presumably a hobby drill. Dunno about the box clip however. (I'll also throw it out there that I prefer the older designs of Imperial flashlight too while I'm regurgitating geeky bile... )

Petrol was an issue, but because of precarious supply lines, not because of cost. (At the time both Galicia and Baku had active wells.)

My Rocketman campaign is set in an alt-history, mid to late 1930's, so it has a curious mixture of old and new.
