The Eagle has landed...or, Churchill at Blandings Castle.
« on: March 09, 2010, 10:46:35 PM »
Some scenes from a recent Rate of Fire WWII game in our ongoing Operation Sealion mini campaign.

Churchill addressing the local populace before departing for church.

Where he is seized by Nazi paratroopers intent on kidnap.

The Local Home Guard ride to the rescue.

The local lanes and byeways slow down the Nazi force.

Allowing some Regulars to deploy across their escape route.

While the Home Guard flank the Nazi force.

In viscious close quarter fighting the Home Guard best their Nazi foe.

While the Regulars pin down the rest of the force.

Despite making a dash for glory the game ends with the Nazi's Force Morale broken and Churchill rescued! There must be a medal or two in this for someone I fancy....

"There is no point in being stupid unless you show it!"

Another excellent looking game there.  :)

I am wondering what the Paratrooper is stage whispering to Winnie in this shot though...

Lovely.  This is a subject I have wanted to game for a long time.  Since I have far too many projects going for the moment, I don't even dare to watch the dvd any more...  :D

Churchill, making the V-sign: "I know."

I think what he said in real life when told the same thing was

"Dead birds don't fall out of nests."

Once again, a great looking game and a nice simple scenario.
