Forsaken rules by Audrey
« on: March 21, 2010, 07:44:03 PM »
Read the blog and last September's post about status but figured I would see if Audrey would give us a quick status when she checks in.
I had a great time playing in one of her games at Fall-In a couple years ago and really was hoping to see these rules out and available.
Thanks!

I played a game with her last month which, I hope, signals that she is back to work on them. She is SO close to getting them developed. I do bug her about it every chance i get.  :)

I thought she'd got distracted by skating or something weird american sport involving roller skates.

You speak my name and I hear it lol. Ok, so Mo mentioned to me that Forsaken came up on LAF.

There has been some progress made on the rules. Just last week I printed out of a mostly complete set of rules that is currently sitting on my desk at home. It needs some heavy handed editing and a few sections still need to be fleshed out further. I admit I have been distracted with playing roller derby. Derby is an amazing sport, but also a very consuming thing. Sorry about this whole process taking so long. There just isn't enough time in the day as we all know. It does thrill me to know that people are still interested in seeing me complete these rules so they can use them in their own games. Please feel to give me a swift kick in the booty if you don't hear of any progress after a while. Well it would probably be easier to send me a PM or email me which is on my LAF profile.

I'm surprised Roller Derby is still around!

Do you actually compete in it?  Sounds fun as hell!

I've just heard of these rules (Through this post in fact!) and now I'm eager to learn more. Prior to this my only knowledge of the mysterious Audrey was from her modern vampire figure thread.

P. S. Roller Derby has taken New York City by storm some time back. I've know a few players and they are humm.. whats' the word for it? Obsessed.

Derby was reborn in the early 2000's and has been growing more and more each year. Most people in the U.S. probably have a derby team within a few hours of them if not in their own city. Not sure where in Iowa you live SV (http://www.midiowarollers.com/ and http://www.myspace.com/crrollergirls). This isn't the staged stuff that was done in the 60's and 70's. It is a full contact sport. Yes, we compete against other teams.

I am the jammer in front (the one with the black star on my helmet).

ok, I'll attempt to get this back on topic :)

As for the rules...

My blog will have the most recent info about the rules. Plus you can see pictures of games I have run. http://13threalm.com/blog/

This really needs to be updated but it gives you a general overview. http://www.13threalm.com/forsaken/index.html
