C17th Frame Gun Battery
« on: March 22, 2010, 06:28:27 PM »
Some slightly larger shots of my frame gun battery from last week's round of the LPL...

All from Bicorne Miniatures, although interestingly, from at least two, possibly three different sculptors...  ;)

Strikingly good paint jobs Cap'n.  As regards the figures, I particularly like the chap fiddling with his pistol and the expression on the face of the guy holding the wick (correct terminology?).  Wonderful.

Yes, the purple's not terribly historical, I know. At least not for ECW... But for TYW maybe?  ;)

Not sure if these are more like falconets or galloper guns, but they're what Bicorne sell as frame guns...  :?

I shall try not to worry about it too much  ::)

Wonderful stuff that Captain, now for the odd pointless question. The powder barrel has a bit of sack cloth on it, was this sculpted by you or part of the original?

cheers

James
