Does This Building Look Suitable For VSF?
« on: 26 March 2010, 05:36:49 PM »
I'm interested in this large warehouse building but was wondering if it's a little too modern for Victorian gaming?

I may convert it with some chimney stacks to turn it into a factory unit.
Any thoughts?

No, I;d say that's alright actually.  :)

Especially with added chimneys.

I think it would work fine, what scale/manufacturer is it?

Must say I am very disappointed that a man of your talents is not building one to a cunning blueprint from scratch.

That works in my books and I can be a fussy git!

I've seen this somewhere before and now it's bugging me where.

Old Glory me thinks (only because Malamullet just told me)

Chimneys are a must. It was amazing how much difference they made to a couple of buildings I recently made for Thundercheeks.

I looked at this for a 1920s game, but at over £100 I left it...............

Brick seldom gives away a period of construction but windows are generally the tell, generally the top framing is indicative of the period.

That said, perhaps a few exterior gas lamp fixtures may add the authenticity seal of Victorian times, as well as a few 'period' appropriate set dressings, freight wagons or packing cases in particular.

Nice digs though all the same.

Nice building. If you put a pitched, slate roof on it that might give it a more Victorian look.

It's actually £117.............

PMC do a nice painted factory on EBay for £25 that would probably suit and Empress has just released a factory in their Spanish range that might do.
