FOA and Brigade FT17

Which one is bigger? Does anybody has a comparision picture with both models on it?

I can't say for the FoA version, but the Brigade Games FT-17 is 1/53 scale in all three dimensions.

(FYI -- the Old Glory version is smaller -- 1/56 length, 1/62 width, 1/60 height.)

Brigade has a picture with a model next to it. I have the FOA one and it's a very nice model, but a bit too small for 28mm in my opinion. I don't have any pictures of the finished tank yet, but here's what comes in the bag: picture.

Here's a composite pic of a finished FoA FT-17 with "slender" 28mm Rif War figures.



I think it looks nice with those figures (I have added a base since I took the photos, have to take some new ones), and I think it'll work with chunkier figures (Artizan, Copplestone) if the latter are mounted on "thin" bases, or the tank on a base of similar thickness, which I would suggest since the mounting points of the tracks are comparatively small. It is a stable joint, but with the tracks and the trenching tail I didn't want to run risks and added a wooden base to mine.

It looks very nice next to them, in fact I think I bought it just after seeing that same picture at TMP. But we use Scarab, Renegade and those thick GW plastic bases, so I'm afraid everyone's going to laugh at it in our next game

I really need to take that photo. I think it looks better when the tank and crew are about level, i.e. both use bases of the same (or similar) thickness. So you could try that, I used an elliptical wood piece from a crafts store whose sides I trimmed down.

Yes, the RifRaf figures are more akin to 1/72nd, although about the size (i.e. height) of 28s.
