I use sepia washes but have recently changed to vandyke brown and am getting good results on khakis and browns etc.

The other colour I use a lot for this is paynes grey which has the depth but is not as harsh as black.

Some nice stuff on that painting table.  :)

Yes the dogs are good..and  I use the eureka  George washington one as well..The Hinterland Louisa is exquiste..Greywolf and I discussed her in great deal over coffee.. more dogs at

Where in Australia are you? That sounds a bit abrupt but I'm keen to follow what's going on locally with games other than the staple GW and PP crowds :)

Those dogs really are terrific! I like your treatment of the Female Hussars too. Very original colour scheme  :D
