@ Westfalia Chris

Can you post an closeup of the jumping facehugger.
I want to use them for a 1:35 project, and I think therefor they will work very well.

Here`s a pic of the three facehugger poses with a Gripping Beast (left) and Copplestone (right) figure for size. Bases are 25mm GW style plastics. I'm not really fond of the jumping one, so I'd have two to swap.

I've also taken pics with the rest of the warriors and the queen, both with the two above figures for size.

I've got a really nice resin predator that came from the US a few years back, can't remember the name of the company but remember that this was the last of them before the moulds were retired. I'll try to get a pic of it, unpainted at present.

I think that was Doppleganger...I have one as well....

It's a smidge smaller, but a fantastic sculpt.

If I remember correctly, the resin one was a piece from Dragglestown, and they had Fenryll do it with square, textured base.  I believe it was available if you placed a certain minimum order or ordered a Fenryll catalog.  Somehow there was an agreement with Doppleganger whereby they did a metal version on a flat hexagonal base.

But yeah, a phenomenal predator.  Need to figure out where mine is, and also get some pics of it vs. the Copplestone ones and the Doppleganger female variants.

Hei W'Chris,

thanks for the pics, I think they will work in 1:35.
If you want to trade your jumping ones, just send me a PM.

Oh, and great work on the APC, I like it :-*

Sounds right, nicely animated pose, blades out, no mask

These are going to be wall panels for my scratch build and will cover this:

Traces of blaster fire, rust and blood on the walls, now ready to be mounted to the superstructure...

I covered the exterior walls with cork to mimick concrete and may add some battle damage later:

Then I painted it grey...

Lilla had some fun playtesting the pit:

I made some nice and cheap facehuggers by using GW zombie hands and skaven tails.  I probably should have used green stuff to make the saggy bag bits that hang from the back of the "hands" but I didnt have any GS at the time so I didnt bother.  They still came out fine.

I cant get at the photo from work but the blog entry is listed under "Face Huggers and Chest Bursters" HERE.

I also used some old GW Ripperjack miniatures as leaping 'huggers.  I dont know if they are still in production or not but they worked well too I think.

Finally, I got a few plastic GW tyranid Rippers and painted them up as chest bursters at the same time.  They are probably a little large for representing newborn chest bursters but I am quite happy with them nonetheless.  The photos are in the same link above for anyone interested.

I found myself a queen last week at the red barons convetion second hand shop, at only 5 euros.  Not sure on the mark, I think it is actually a movie toy as it has a `Fox Entertainment` label on the inside of her left thigh, and also grabbed a large facehugger (around 1/6th I think) on a metal looking grill base from the same `branch`

Mind you, the lady is based on the 40mm square gw base, not a 25mm one, so she is pretty darn big and impressive, and that is the `factory` paintjob on her

I think those are the Konami "candy toy" figures. I have the Konami Alien3 dog-burster, and it came with a base modeled on a section of what looks like the Hadley's Hope floor grating, which from the photos I've seen is the same base all the figures came with.
History viewed from the inside is always a dark, digestive mess, far different from the easily recognizable cow viewed from afar by historians.
