WWW2 German camo colour test

Ahoy all,

I did some digging around to get the advice on late war  German cam colours and have done a test of both Summer and Autumn colours on my SoTR Mech Grenadiers.

They came out OK, but something didnt click with them, the Summer one in particular, but I cant figure out what it is.  Any tips from you guys?

The cam. is great :)finish the minis, that will contrast with your cam and look complete,ie webbbing colour against the cam.

It's a shame the pic is so dark!

maybe run some devlin mud washes in the creases of the camo? ive done that before with german camo and it adds a bit more depth

I think the camo look good that way... you will have a better idea of the effect when the rest of the figure is done anyway...

I ran some Devlan over mine then they clicked!

it's the black rest of it
looks too flat and camo flattens the figure too

finish the gear, then retouch the camo - I think it looks fine
