Undead centaurs
« on: 23 April 2010, 09:33:48 AM »
Hi, there! just wanted to give you guys a little sneak peek at my new converted Black Knights that I'm getting ready for a store. Banner is in Latin and it means ''To Eternity". Enjoy!

Banner is in Latin and it means ''To Eternity".

As in

"Big bugs have little bugs
Upon their backs to bite 'em.
And little bugs have smaller bugs
And so ad infinitum."

Is that made from the Citadel plastic human and horse skellie sprues?  Nice thinking.
Back from the dead, almost.

Really like the concept and execution.  One question: if a centaur has the bottom half of a horse, why are there bones in the tail?  Never noticed that about the GW skeleton horses before.

Now, I don't know if a horse skeleton has so much tail bones, but I do believe that even the human skeleton has some tail left over from earlier versions of our species.

I do not think that a horse would be able to lift its tail without any tailbones at all. I'm not sure - any vets present?

It's an interesting subject, anyway, I've been wondering about those tails myself...
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

There may perhaps be a coxxis, but not a full tailbone. Do mules/donkeys have tailbones?

Forgot to say! Nice conversion, simple and effective. Reminds me of the 80's style conversions when the plastics first came out.  :)

the tail will be there so people don't complain the horse doesn't have a tail. A case of what we expect to see rather than what is

lol My apologies...that's what I get for googling pictures of the outside of horses only.  Not brave enough to do a search about the inside of horses!
