Could be useful for pirate games.

I’ve put my name down for a few sprues at the very beginning of this "adventure" and was disappointed by the first render and all that requests from different wargamers to add this or that to the sprues as options. Frankly I was tired to see things that weren’t even from the period being suggested (it ranged from pike for the 1690’s to coat design of 1745…) Anyway, it is nice to see that they get their act together and stick (or come back) to the original plan. The first render had some flaws but the later ones seem better. In fact if the actual figures are has good has the latest render, I think I’ll be happy with them… and may eventually build a whole army… ;)
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://www.kingdomtitans.ca/us/

Admittedly, after I'd seen the actual sculpts of their first releases I withdrew all my preorders. Latest releases haven't changed my mind yet.
What bores me the most is that it's again an infantry sprue. When do those manufacturers finally realise that from c. 1650 to 1740 field battles were predominantly cavalry affairs? And there's only Front Rank's and old Foundry stuff to cover this demand, certainly not everyone's taste or up to date. So I'm still waiting for Copplestone's promised horse to complement my - as such a bit useless - infantry battalions. >:(
And taking Wargames Factory's previous politics into account it doesn't seem likely to get coverage from them. What a mess...

Okay, calmed down, rant over.  ::)

I'm certainly looking forward to these coming out. I need some for colonial militia & marines for my pirate games.

I'd welcome some decent plastics to use in Pirate games and the preview pic doesn't look too bad, but only available in "march-attack" pose?

No good for me - I prefer skirmish poses in skirmish games  :(

Yes, this will only be good for someone who wants hundreds of clones to form massive blocks of infantry.

The only alternate use I see for them (and most of what WGF does) is as conversion fodder due to the plastic being easier to chop up than metals. If I wanted to do zombie WSS for instance, I'd get these. ;)

Like. Want. Will buy.
For the usual Wargames Factory prices, this will be great for - as many other gentlefolk before me already pointed out - conversions in the general historical vicinity of pirates and the like.

And of course thanks for the updates, Person-who-is-crossing-the-borders-of-our-not-more-closely-specified-country-in-a-way-that-is-a-bit-more-difficult-to-perceive-for-those-who-soon-will-not-be-watching-anything-in-this-world-anymore.
Significant.

Less than inspiring.
Em dezembro de '81
Botou os ingleses na roda

Ficou marcado na história
E no Rio não tem outro igual

The bits will make good conversion fodder, but that's about it. Built straight from the sprue they look like another failure.

I think I might be able to resist these. You have to hand it to WF for going for it in their own way, but there's just something about the final execution of the figures that lets down all that excellent planning and marketing.  ::)

Legs together, leaning forward? Man that looks weird!

Looks like they're about to fall over sleeping on their guard duty!

Oh well. I've bought several WGF minis and I've been somewhat disappointed every time, so I don't see my self going there again.

In a 500+ figure game these sleeping beauty guards will come in handy though. I just hope they fit in scale with whatever brand of white metal fraternity miniatures will make up the 1st rank  ;)
