Space Junk at the Valey of Isk
« on: May 06, 2010, 02:19:26 PM »
Greetings People of Mongo,

I just posted pics of a set of Space Junk I made in October 2009 as part of a Flash Gordon style Rocket Ship game.  There will be more pics soon of Asteroids and Gas Clouds, plus a few of the new Rockets made for the set.
You can read about it at the Valley of Isk

I hope Pulp is an appropriate place for this stuff!  I did a quick search and found that most of the Flash Gordon Topics are in the Pulp section...

Questions and comments are always welcome!  :)

That is awesome! So many people do asteroids, but to see the remnants of cruisers that failed to navigate the rock fields properly is great!

You basically just take a pile of junk that you cut and carve to pieces and a few lego blocks plus some bits and bobs, glue them together, paint them and put them on a flying stand... what an effect!!!  8)
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

Lego bits would be a good idea; I did not own any; but the thing that kind of resembles one is an extra speaker from when I made The Bing (strip joint) a while back.

It really makes me happy to be able to reuse the scrap rather than throw it all away.  I have been able to do the same with my scrap pink foam too.

Donpimpom: fuhgettaboutit.

Christopher: Nice blog youself and nice of you to mention the passing of Frank Frazetta.  Sad loss.  He kicked Boris Vallejo's butt, but never seemed as mainstream.  Oh well.

Glad ya like!  I have some asteroids to post up next week.
