Just nice...
Immidiately some Scenario ideas come to mind: Rescue the Ladies, daring feats to impress the (slightly) bored ladies etc.
cheers and keep on gaming, Agis - https://www.adpublishing.de

If they're Victorian British ladies, then it's not them who need rescuing, it's the natives!  :)

Lovely painting, Prof. (Don't you ever get tired of hearing that?)

Another scenario : find the rest of their luggage and fetch a pot of tea...

They look great, the purple looks really good on her.

Looks like they are none too happy they've been left with the luggage. :)

Won't the fellows be surprised when they return from a day's safari and find the women have built a house, a mission, started an orphanage, and have converted everyone within a day's walk to Methodism? Or was Methodism still firmly middle-class during the Victorian period? I can't remember.

Middle Class? How dare you! Methodism has always been a working-man's religion, around here at any rate.

I come from a Methodist family. A Methodist family that bizarrely has all its offspring baptised as Anglicans, too. Chapel on a Sunday, Church for Christenings, weddings and funerals! I guess it doesn't hurt to hedge one's bets!  :)

A religious 'belt and braces', better safe than sorry.  :)

Reminds me of the chap from the recent Mummy movie who had a dozen different holy symbols 'just in case'.

With a few hat boxes for cart wheel hats and they would look like two victorian ladies during a brief rest from a shopping spree at Harrods.

"Darling Clothilde, I must show you this most WON-derful set of matching elephant tusks I found at Imperial Imports. It will look MOST sofisticated in the green boudoire once I get the new curtains up, don't you agree!? By the way, have you noticed how french blue wallpaper and green chequered floors seems to be quite the thing this summer..."

Indeed, the facial expression on the two memsahibs is quite appropriate. I wonder if they are some poor fellow's aunts.
