Napoleon

Need to get him based and then I'll put up photos of both the French and Austrian Army Command stands.

Cheers!

Thanks guys.

I still have lots of holes to fill.  I'm trying to get together two armies, each containing 3 Corps of infantry with reserves.  For the French, that means 3 infantry corps, a small Old Guard component and a Heavy Cavalry Corps.  The Austrians will have 3 infantry corps and a Reserve Corps.

I also have to dig out my 15mm terrain... darn, where did that stuff go?

Anyway, it's my summer project.

Top notch stuff Ray, I am not a 15mm man myself, but am always in awe of those who can make it work, as you have done, in fact it puts some 28mm collections to shame.

Napoleon is a miniature masterpiece, and I love the heavy cavalry corps. By the by, I firmly believe that you shouldn't worry what others may think about mixing figures and so on. Its your collection and should look the way you are happy with. Often those that shout the loudest about armies not being correct etc, never have an army to show you that they have done perfectly.
They will not force us,
They will stop degrading us,
They will not control us,
We will be victorious!!

You know... after all the thousands of minis I have painted in my life, it dawned on me one day that my present collection did not include the type of minis that started me in this hobby.

In a way, these figures are a bit of a legacy thing, if you know what I mean.

So... here is my Army Command Stand, featuring the pudgy Mr. Bonaparte:

And here is a shot of his nemesis from Austria (Painted by Ron Redworth)... the Arch Duke Charles:

Next up will be a brigade of Chasseurs.

Wow, I love those high command stands! I might at least have to pick up enough AB figures to make some GHQ dioramas myself!

Aaron,

AB offers a command pack for each nation varying from 6 to 8 miniatures.  They are perfect for making command dioramas.

I highly recommend them.
