Tintin/Captain Haddock etc

Does anyone consider Tintin to be a suitable candidate for a Pulp character ?
I think I've seen Plynkes refer to Captain Haddock before.

Anyway, if so I've seen a variety of diecast vehicles including a rather splendid Model T Ford driven by Tintin and loaded with exploring gear:

There are several others in the range, including a Jeep with Captain Haddock & Professor Calculus, and a police car with Tintin riding on the running board

I´ve seen them "in the flesh", since my local model railroad store has a selection of those. They are a bit on the large side, being 1:43rd scale, but could actually work with larger figures.

Nice prices, though. "My" shop charges some 10-15 Euros more.

They would probably work better with Project X or Gotterdammerung sized minis.

In 28mm, there's a Tintin and snowy in one of the Copplestone packs and Brigade Games Merchant seamen have figures that can be used as or converted to Haddock.

I've sculpted some for myself, including a seated Tintin and Haddock for a slightly converted repainted (red) corgi Willys jeep.

There 1/43rd scale and not at all cheap. Some 25 euros a piece (33 USD)
Tintin in Belgium is somewhat of a collectors thing and prices are therefor way up.

Nevertheless they are beautiful models.

yep. Tintin figures used are mine, while the regular soldiers and boats and vehicules are from the collection of Rudi Geudens, another member of this forum.

If you didnt already know Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson are making a three part film series. Apparently the cast will be computer animated but made to look like real people as opposed to cartoon like.
