brick sheets
« on: 17 May 2010, 07:13:42 PM »
Not very comfy to sleep on . . .

I want to build a few urban buildings.  My actual models are pretty basic.  I was looking at buying those thin plastic sheets and glue them on top of mdf for my buildings.  Does anyone use these regularly?  Do they have to be O scale?

The plstruct stuff is nice - but if your looking for "quick and dirty" then Micro-Mark is the place to shop.

They even have detail sheets

They are pre colored so no painting required and look great. And they come in HO and O scale so you can choose how large you want your bricks to be in relation to your figures.
If pro is the opposite of con, what is the opposite of progress ?

I use them for most of my builds these days:

Easy to use and cheap. I buy mine from Plastikard in the UK and for 25/28mm figs I use O Scale (7mm).
Don't!

I am a cheap SOB, I use textured wallpaper. Looks pretty good if you find a nice pattern

Brick sheets from Heki. They are like thin foam core and cut very nicely with a razor. Its getting harder to find.

Thanks for all your help.  SO far I've just been gluing clusters i\of bricks on to mdf and weathering.  It looks like I have a lot of options.  You guys make it look so easy!
