Brick Walls, the Slow way
« on: March 03, 2009, 10:08:58 PM »
Been working off and on on a brick wall master, then realized others might want to make 25-28 mm bricks as fast as they can with a set of Fiskers rectangle hole puncher from a craft store.

The sad thing, I could imagine myself taking the time to make brickery-wickery like that. Thanks for the tip, I really must live under a rock because a rectangle hole-punch never occurred to me o_o.

Dear Alfrik, actually building walls using that method would qualify as "certified insane" in my book ;), but the possibilities for realistic ruins and collapsed buildings (no offence to the folks in Cologne, mind you!) are endless.  :o

I do not have the ability to mould stuff but for one off small wall sections it maybe useful. I will have to look in to getting one.
Thanks for the tip.

Well if you happen to have virtually all your tin soldiers painted/ painted all your terrain pieces this could be a solution to keep you of the streets ;)

Great idea. I have lots of card stock, and never thought of it. I also saw a similar idea using the left over plastic sprues from plastic figures (ie GW. figures, and now Perry and Victrix used to make buildings as well. I think it was on the Lord of the Rings website called The Last Alliance. The plastic sprues are a bit taller, but when the buildings were finished, they looked fine scale-wise. Also, they might work better for your mold making process...just a thought. I have a whack of these sprues so I might give it a try...due to your inspiration!!
Victory is guaranteed to the last man standing, but always remember those whom you stepped on to get there!!
