Adventures in East-Africa (Update page 4)

I started to paint some African explorer, hunter and trader, as well as some Massai for a small game. Here are the first pictures…









The lions are from Reaper, the rest is Foundry.

Frank, stop it will you. You are putting us all to shame with all these wonderful posts. ;)

The "lived in, grubby look" on the explorers is fantastic. We see far too many pristine pith helmets really.

Some  of the best Colonials I have ever seen. That rather dark colour scheme together with an excellent photography makes a very dramatic presentation.

Oh yes. This guy is good. We need to clone another Frank to concentrate just on Colonials, so the original one can carry on with the Samurai and Fantasy stuff. More, please!  :)

Can't help but to loo again: the elephant grass looks very good to. Effective idea to mix the plastic grass with tan rubberised horsehair.
