 They will be bringing out buildings too.Pictures can be seen on the back of the Wargames Recon magazine.They look like they will be usefull for a few periods.

I have the small ship, The Sea Dog, but have yet to do to much with it as have been waylaid with other parts of my project (and LAF comps!). It is very nice.  The 'wood grain' in the resin cast isn't overstated, which I prefer but might be a consideration for some.  If I remember rightly, fellow LAFer Cianty has a review on his blog.

I have the small ship, The Sea Dog, but have yet to do to much with it as have been waylaid with other parts of my project (and LAF comps!). It is very nice although the 'wood grain' in the resin cast is somewhat shallow.  If I remember rightly, fellow LAFer Cianty has a review on his blog. 

I too have the Sea Dog, two tenders and I use the additional bits on my brigatine. I am very happy with them.

I guess the grain is a matter of personal preference. I know a lot of people that don't like strong grain as it is very unrealistic to even see any grain on 28mm models. On the other hand, it is great for drybrushing. If you look at the Sea Dog you can see very fine grain (I believe the original model was made of wooden coffee stirring sticks) and to me it has the perfect level of detail. I have been considering also buying their medium ship, the Sea Prince, for some time now. A few weeks ago they said the resin version of the large ship is only a few weeks away, but usually it takes them many many many months to release the products they announce on that page. The buildings and scenic rocks they mention have been announced there for a year or so and they won't come out any time soon.

 When I spoke to Alan about the buildings he said that he hopes to have at least one available at the Durham show on the 12th.Going to try and get one or two of them.

Cianty is spot on.  My wordage was poor as I too like the grain as it is on The Sea Dog.  I meant my comment as a consideration for those that might be bothered rather than as a downside to be wary of.  Just to be clear, I am very happy with The Sea Dog and am somewhat annoyed with myself that I have yet to finish it!

That's some good news, miner (and after digging up the email I got from Yvonne I think that a typo crept into it messing with what she meant to say). I look forward to seeing the building(s). If they are of equal quality and have a good style then they will be great.
