The automobile would be a great base for a Martian gun platform. And the paddle just has way too much potential for so many things.

The paddle boat is rather jolly, just the sort of thing for taking the memsaab up the Congo....

I've seen them at my local Modelzone - looks rather decent and okay for the price. On the back of the box, they also list the helicopter and the tank (called "Leonardo's Gunship"), which I assume will be future releases. The assembled kits are roundabout 1/24 scale, I guess, and so probably best used as a basis for contraptions and stuff rather than "as themselves".

I started to look at the 'car' as just a source of clockwork bits, then I read that it's actually 'programmed' by use of cams. It IS a clockwork device! "Most likely used during stage performances," per Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry.

I haven't seen either of these, nor the assumed earlier 'gunship' ( I fear I've used my monthly allocation of single quotes ), so if anyone sees these kits on USA store shelves, give a shout, okay?

Oh, that wacky kid from Vinci!

I was watching an Ebay auction for the Paddle Boat that ended yesterday.  Ended a couple of quid higher than the Buy-It-Now price from other sellers.   ;D  Why do people do that?   ???  You decide that you want something and you look for the best price/deal, surely?

What scale?

Sorry, I THINK I saw '1/24' somewhere...

All the better, I think, for 25/38, or even 15mm.

Oh, come on; you, as gamers, recognize 'getting your blood up'. I've been ALMOST that dumb; not that I've bid up without checking Buy It Now's, but I have outbid my 'maximum' several times.

Other times, I've enjoyed bidding just enough that I've been outbid by someone with even less perspective.  >:D

eBay knows this. Why do you think they call successful bids 'winning'?

Yeah, paddle wheel airships are a definate potential there!

I'm always amazed by people that over-bid for things. I sold a BFG expansion book for £35 recently (I got it free as a 'sculpt' of mine is in it) and the book is still available from GW for £25......
So many projects..... so little time.......
