Cars and terrain for 15mm modern horror
« on: June 19, 2010, 01:42:39 AM »
Where to find 15mm cars for 15mm modern city zombie/vampire/werewolf games? Also is there are any 15mm modern city terrain pieces?

I am asking this because I saw great terrain and cars on 15mm Rebel Minis Zombie section.

Hi, Fjodin. I think some of the terrain from the Rebel minis site you're referring to is H/O scale model RR buildings. I have the garage pictured in the "15mm Zombies Assortment 2" picture and 15mm Hunter's Pack. Maybe check ebay in Australia. H/o buildings are pretty cheap on ebay in the States.

I scaled my WorldWorks stuff down to 50% for all of my 15mm modern. Works okay for me and saves a lot of time paper and ink.

Some "1/64" scale Matchbox type trucks and other vehicles are really closer to 1/100 (especially the trucks)

You have to just go and check them out at discount stores, with a 15mm mini as a comparison (when people look at you like your crazy, just  say "What are you looking at, Bozo?"  :D  )

You can get 1/87 or HO model railway scenery, including cars, dirt cheap on ebay. Bulk suppliers based in Hong Kong. Usually free international shipping. Look great with 15mm.
eg http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/100x-Building-Train-Layout-Set-HO-Scale-1-87-Model-Car-/270593118612?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item3f009b5194
but there are others. You can get street lights and trees as well, all very cheap.

Are you going to update us on what you found?

BTW, the Matchbox "Desert" series has two trucks that are about exact for 15mm scale, and cost only 99 cent!

I've ordered 20 1\87 cars on ebay :) Really cheap.

Also I am extracting all textures from Vampire Masquerade Bloodlines to make some paper buildings/roads
I\ll post some photos and textures here soon.
