Help with African American Zombie Flesh

Greetings LAF'ers!

I am trying to paint African American zombie flesh and am having a hard time of it.  The look I have been trying for is similar to the Cold Wars The Dead Will Walk range.  Specifically the Downtown pack.



With all my zombies I am doing a grey flesh look.  I am not fond of the green zombie look.  I very much like the grey look of the zombies in the Left4Dead games.

Also I am using a triad method to my painting.  I have many zombies to paint so I don't have the time to do endless blending.  I am going for a high quality paint job that can be done within a reasonable amount of time.

So any suggestions for a triad of colors that would get a nice greyish African American look would be greatly appreciated.  I am willing to purchase new paints if needed, but please don't suggest something that would be difficult to obtain.

Any photographs of examples would be very helpful!
