28mm Herman Goring Division
« on: July 05, 2007, 03:58:41 AM »
Anyone interested in this?  I have a soft spot for the German "fiefdom" forces especially  with interesting uniforms.  Anywho a Eureka 100 Club needs just 50 more orders to start it out (less than two platoons).  The order is set to be 28mm compatible with Artizan Miniatures with a HQ, Rifle, HMG/LMG, and special weapons sections to be made.  It is not 50 of the same pose, rather 50 of the above mentioned types and there are more specific details covering poses, but that eludes me at the moment.

LOL- I was the 2nd person to sign up for some- I'm down for 20 already, but I may take more depending on the final poses and such. 'course they would be enough to make a normal platoon by simply sprinkling in some normal troops.

According to Nic, each number you put in is one figure, so in theory you'd need to put 60 in there.
My order was for 20 figures, which would be two squads' worth. I entered 20 and placed the order. I assume that the exact numbers will be finalised once we reach the 150 total required.

On my PC, when I tried to enter multiples in there, it wouldn't let me add them to my cart, so I had to add each separately.

I ordered around 40 for my platoon and to have a few extra for conversions, heads, etc.

I think it will be a really cool project. If you are interested, drop by and sign up for a squad or so.

When it is done, the project should include enough models/poses to make:

Command section with Lt., NCO, and two runners.

Squad with NCOs, an LMG team, and riflemen.

A platoon would be made by getting a Command Section and then 2 or 3 squads.

I look forward to seeing these come to life. After that, I intend to push my Panzer Lehr 100 club hard. That will be very similar in approach.

Hey there folks!

Just need a few more for this project. If anyone is interested, drop by the Eureka site and order a squad or platoon.

Thanks!

This thread is a few years old but I'd sure like to see the minis that people made.

Well, until they actually become a "real" product, you won't se
There were enough figures to get a start in, but due to some administrative error, production was halted.
While I didn't actually stump up for figures yet, I'm kinda annoyed that they got stalled after the initial good start.

Hi Guys,

I'd dinner with Nick of Eureka Miniatures on Saturday night an I mentioned this thread.

From Nick it seems from the top of his head what the customer was initially asking was for around 30 different miniatures.

Now normally you would see around 10 or so different miniatures for the 100 club being designed. Because it was around 30 this means the number of folks interested in the product is trebled. This may not have come across as such, but there it is.

So if you are interested in starting this again then I'll be in too as I think this is a good idea.

Lets see what folks have to say and take it from there.

Helen

Helen,
the last I heard was that Doc Mercury had agreed to dropping the number of figures to 10 or 12, and was willing to accept duplication in his platoon, but I could be mistaken. From that point on, things just fizzled out.
I already have a pre-order in for about 40 figures (I upped from my initial order), so I'd certainly love this project to finally come to a finish, because they're the core of my Italian front...
