The unit for the distance is the “Toise”, more accurate regarding the background. (I don’t know yet the equivalent in centimetres or inches).

une toise = one inch

I always belive that one toise (from Paris not from Tour) or another county)  for 1,92m in the real live. But in game, with 25mm scale, it's more near one inch may be

:o  :o I can't wait for this to be released. Anyone have any idea as to the cost. I may have to have a weekend over the water to pick some up Starters before the English version comes out

The arquebusiers constitute large troop of the Western faction. These troupiers are however an elite from their presence in the Hells. They have strong experience of the battle fields and are very skilful with the sword and the arquebus. Protected behind their iron armours, they are directed by sergeants like celebrates it Aidan Saint James.

This game looks very promising. I love the miniatures (The Arabian faction so far looks fantastic, I think) and the background mixing historical and fantastical ideas sounds really cool.

The English book will arrive somewhere between august and octobre IIRC, and I guess the visitors at Essen Spiel will see some new eye candy this year...

The Retiarius

These bullies look like humans excepted their head, which seams covered by a strange helmet. Looking closer, helmet and skin join together, as it generally happens for the damned: It is like if their pugnacity, their killer instincts and their malevolence were impregnated in their body, like if their demonic soul took a physical form…
The face leaves place to two big fangs, like some insect gets. They present some parts of armor that don’t cover all their body, and wear a spare that resembles to enormous pliers. They also fight with a heavy net they use to catch their foe before they charge and eviscerate him…

New infos from TGN:

Regarding the miniatures and the prices I collected more details:

The rulebook will be 35 Euro
Note a free version of the rules only (no background or illustrations) will be available to download on the website as soon the game will be sold out.

Starters (8 to 12 miniatures inside) will be 40 euro

Extensions (blister of one main character or up to three basic warriors) to come every two months will be 8 to 10 euros
Note it seems each extension will be collectors: Asmodei will produce it again when it is out of stock.

Every miniature is metallic.

Be aware there is no “twins” into an army, even basic soldiers are different.

The first two boxes:

Each box set will have a set of quickstart rules and enough minis to field a complete warband. Extra troops/charcters will be available in blisters.

So yes, if you just want minis from a faction, you can just get those alone.

These really look amazing- those boxes have me salivating.  Has any of our French members seen the free rules yet?  I may have missed a scale mention but are these 'trad' 28mm or 'heroic' 28s-32s?

Are the boxes already for sale?
The "Occidental" set looks like it can be used for Swashbucking Adventures!
