15mm Star Mogul Slavage Crew - So Far
« on: July 25, 2010, 04:32:49 AM »
Hello!

Here are some picture of my Star Mogul Salvage crew in 15mm with their first Salvage Bot.

I have a big order coming in from GZG and some more stuff I'm working on, but this is what I have so far!

Just wonderful Mr Harold!

I've been a big fan of Star Mogul for some time, and recently decided to build a crew in 15mm as well.

What are you using for the Salvage bot?  That mini doesn't look familar!

Do you base yours on coins?

That is from the Wiz Kids "mech warror" line
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Brilliant! How do you even paint something so small, let alone make terrain for it? Looking forward to more of this!

Brilliant! Hadn't even thought of using my 15's for Star Mogul! Of course! Just got two of the lovely little Light Crawler with Pickup Bed from Khurasan.

More inspiration. :)

SNAP: Finally bought the Star Mogul rules. 'Bout time! o_o

Television is rather a frightening business. But I get all the relaxation I want from my collection of model soldiers. P. Cushing

Yep, I just got the Crawler as well.  It's a fantastic little vehicle.  I'm going to be using that as my 'Salvage dog'.

Looking very nice.  What make are the buildings?  Scratchbuilt?  If so, excellent.
This is my boomstick!

Thanks, the buildings are GZG... they come as separate walls and roofs. Very fun to put together and paint. http://www.groundzerogames.co.uk/store1/commerce.cgi?product=SG15B&exact_match=on&cart_id=2336305.15961

Ok, I would love to hear some updates on this thread... ::)
I will admit I have managed to get zip done in the last month and a bit and that the beautiful summer weather is my only excuse. But I intend to put the excellent toys I have collected for this project to the front of the work-bench queue and make a big 15mm minis & terrain push over the next few weeks.

More suitable bits, pieces and a nice new salvage truck arrived in the mail today. More stuff is on the way.... A stash of those MechWarrior Clix industrial units to use as Demo-bots was found and pillaged!

So much cool lead & plastic potential can not be denied for any longer.

Meanwhile I would love to see what folks have chosen to use for their 15mm HADES suit figures.

Supervike, I have a question or two to post up at the official Star Mogul / AFG forum, are you still a Mod there?

Cheers!

Trundling along. I have cobbled together a spreadsheet for my Salvage Company that folks might find useful when building their companies.
It automatically tracks Unit costs as well as individuals, and it calculates deployment cost as well.
Currently it is set up for Management, 3 Units, a Vehicle and a Mekk, with a provision for a flying unit and an Arachnid Platform.
Simple stuff, I'm no spreadsheet wizard, but if it makes the process easier for anyone I'm happy to share it!

PM for a copy.
