More Warhammer Daemons
« on: July 27, 2010, 08:32:29 PM »
This time it is some OOP Slaneesh ones, a Fiend and what they are calling a Pleasure Seeker now, but I'm calling it a Herald of Slaneesh eventually.  There is also an old Chaos Sorcerer which is still available by special order, mine is original and old, circa 1995 or 96.

I'm in the process of assembling them and basing them and will be painting them in the next couple weeks for use in the Might Empires campaign I got suckered into.  You can follow along on my blog.

Nurgle has most definitely not been abandoned and eventually I'll return to some 40K models, another Van Doo or two and the modular trench table, but for Sunday I need to paint and base some Warhammer Fantasy figures.

Cheers,

I finished assembling the Steed of Slaneesh and mounted it to the custom cork base I made for it.  Paint job will probably be a while, but I have the other Daemons to worry about for the Might Empires campaign.

I'm not sure what WordPress.com's policy is for hot linking.  I used to host all my images and stuff myself but that can get expensive or there is risk there.  I put the finished models on Flickr then I post in-line pics of finished painted models on the forum.  That seems to be my modus operai.

Really it is best to subscribe to RSS feeds then the text and pics just comes to you and you can read it whenever you want even when offline...

I'll try to post pics, but a lot of the pics I take in-progress aren't very special they are only relevant with all the text and other pics and the whole point of the content management system is I can organize everything nice and easy in one place and then link to it or let people find it in Google.

Cheers

Oh and a pic eh...  This is hotlinked off of Flickr which breaks there usage policy a bit, but then I thought I put my Flickr account in my sig which might be an out...

Those are OOP demons I re-based for my return to 8th edition which is why I'm doing more OOP demons too.

If you're so worried about linking policy, just use Tinypic.
http://tinypic.com/
It's free and you don't need to join.
The only rule is that you aren't allowed to post nsfw pictures.
Very handy.

On the figures, it's a real shame that those buggers are oop.
They could be useful in a dungeon crawl.

Don't get me wrong, I like Flickr.  They say don't do this then supply you with the link to post your images anywhere you want.  What they don't want is people running websites off their domain hosting all the little gifs...  Over the years I've kinda moved to a finished minis on Flickr in-progress minis used to be either unphotographed, self hosted or now are on WordPress.com

I try to take lots of pics and update regularly, but hopefully my days of being unemployed are coming to an end and I'll be a less frequent poster and thus not worth complaining about anymore...

I really do like RSS and don't see why everyone isn't using it.

Cheers,

I'm working on another OOP daemon, this time a mid period Bloodletter, which I'm painting purple and it is on a round base, but it likely won't be used in any game any time soon.

I finished that OOP Bloodletter, I thought someone here might care...

Ahh I posted the HTML not the BBCode, it still almost worked and I fixed it below.  I thought it was just some sort of time to review I wasn't posting porn or whatever first.  Flickr takes a moment before making photos live.

That's odd, I swear it showed up on the B&C, same photo, same link...  I mean it was a cut and past job, I pay them even...  Let's try again.

That base for your terminator.   :o

The Bloodletter looks fantastic!  I painted my years ago with one, maybe two skin tones.  Your paint job really brings out the muscular detail.

The terminator base is made by Scibor miniatures.  They make fantasy type models but I've only ever painted up that one base.  I bought several.  They (He) gives Micro Arts Scenics a run for their money in the elaborate base competition, Thormillion makes some display bases too which are pretty over the top.

They do take a long time to paint though...

I've collected links to all kinds of suppliers here.
