28mm Beret wearing heads

Apart form the Westwind ones, which do not have the best of detail, can anyone think of more beret wearing heads suitable for Combined Ops commandos?

I'm stumped as the only ones seem to be from Westwind ( with or without gas masks )

it's really simple, round blob of greenstuff on the head and push down at an angle.
Getting the correct volume of greenstuff is the key.

I hadn't thought about that.  Is it true of the actual berets (ie made of a single piece of cloth) issued to tankies, officers, marines and paras, as well as the beret-like "Cap, General Service" (made of two pieces and very floppy) issued to everyone else after 1943?

I think if you can avoid the Royal Marine and Para berets. The "Fashion" is to shrink the beret to the head and mold it into shape. I know that even being a Crab we did than by soaking it and then creating the shape you wanted and securing it with safety pins etc and then wearing it until dry.

It gives that small perched look whilst sitting on the head, most typically seen in Falkland photos and Ireland troubles

Teh ones you see like Monty or Tankers in WW2 dont seem to have been fitted hence the Tam o Shanter look to them

The WW2 vintage berets were what was known as 'baggy'...
Not just unshrunk, but a different shape/cut/style altogether.

Thats why its hard to find anyheads that have 'vintage' style berets... rather than the shrunk/fitted/sculpted look of the modern era...

Yes, they didn't know the joy of walking round with a wet and warm beret on their head for an hour or so... nor the frustration of someone taking the 'whizz' out of it as you passed by.
