Figures by Reaper Miniatures, though heavily converted. These were done for me by a member of the Reaper Miniatures forums as part of a conversions exchange - we make a conversion, prime it, and send it off to our randomly determined exchange partner, who paints it. These two are the ones I received and then painted.

R. Jack Ipper - no idea who makes this figure, but I'm sure that he's a pleasant fellow with nothing wrong that orthodontia and psychotherapy couldn't fix.  Failing that, massive head trauma.

Figure (I think) by Privateer Press, painted by me.  This one got away from me, and I'd be interested in some merciless critique:
You, sir, are not allowed to attempt a takeover of the solar system until your octopus sobers up.

Do you know which figures were used for the Tharks?

I have, elsewhere, mentioned my first inclination is to use orcs, but, having seen someone else's valiant attempt, find the legs a bit short. Now, I'm wondering about a combination of orc upper torso, and these elves(?), headless, for the lower section.

Mr. R. is simply charming, and I'd probably go right past your suggested amelioration, to trauma, preferably of the large bore variety, at some distance.

The las, alas, I have little in the way of assistance to offer...

Painted them myself recently.  Nice figures.

As we say in the colonies, you da man.

I shall have to peruse the items down at the store to see if we stock these; doesn't have to be them, but they DO seem right!

Doug

Edit: Been looking at some orcs another fellow posted on the GASLIGHT Yahoo forum, and my brain doth still foment. Originally, I thought 'orc on top, kroot/elf/long-legged-thing on bottom', but the orc/ork heads are good, just not buried between their shoulders.

Also, muscled arms close to legs for support, smaller arms and muskets close to head for sighting seem to lead me to turn everything round again. *shrug* I'm having fun.
