Boromir and Kermit's Splintered Lands Mini Reviews
« on: September 11, 2010, 10:33:30 AM »
G'day guys,

I've started doing mini reviews of the Splintered Lands figures from SLM. I've started with some of their newer releases (Frog Hero and Turtle Wizard) and will be moving through the catalogue as I paint them. I'm no sock puppet, I just really love the line and want to give it some exposure as I want to see it continue to grow.

If you're interested, you can check out the first three here:

Here are individual links to all my Splintered Lands Mini Reviews:

Cheers,
Ben.

Nice work. I like the line too but just cannot find a way to use them these days. That turtle made me think Spellsinger.

Excellent paint jobs. I appreciate the comparison pictures too. Now I feel I have enough information to buy some of these.

Another quick message to say that I have updated my blog with the Aardvark Hero mini review. What a cute little face its got.

Thanks for the comments guys :) Much appreciated.

Wow Lowtardog - you'll have to post pics, sounds pretty epic!

Cheers Rob, glad to hear they helped. I've got a bunch of Eureka Terrapins sitting on the painting table ready to be painted up to go with the Turtle Hero - a more comparable paintjob will help them blend in more.

I have to admit that the only 15 mm figures that tempt me even slightly are the mice warriors of this line ; some for FRPG potential, some for Fantasy skirmish, and some, in homage to Miss Piggy,  for conversions for M-i-i-i-i-c-e in S-p-a-a-a-a-c-e!  But I have a pre-order for the Reaper Mouselings so I may be safe from the "15 mm Fever" pandemic.

Gracias,

Glenn

I like the frogs but I haven't figured out a use for them yet.  ;)

Ben, thanks for putting these up! I love the Splintered Lands line and have many of the minis. As I won't get to painting mine any time soon, it's always nice to see well painted examples of them online. =)
