Those are beautiful!  The griffons look almost heraldic.

Picking it up when GW dropped the ball many years ago. Fantastic sculpts, great idea!

The Griffons are WONDERFUL, but, attitude wise, there is nothing on four legs as nasty as a pony. GREAT WORK!

Badass griffin, how well does a human rider fit on it?

;D Awesome! John is doing splendid work there.  What size of base do you have that griffin sitting on?

Will the chicken-birds be cast in metal or resin?

They haven't arrived here yet, so haven't been able to check myself, but according to John, it fits just fine. Since the saddles are specifically designed for the dwarf knights, the only thing you need to do for human riders is add some greenstuff to make them sit upright.

You do have to take into account they won't be as big as GW's chickens, more in line with the old Marauder chaos griffon (so about heroic horse size).

That's a standard cavalry base in the pictures, so I reckon a 50x50 base should be ok.

Normally, they will be cast in metal.

How about a sculpt without saddle as a monstrous creature? :-)

Very nice though, hence the suggestion for more haha...

Got them in hand now. The fit is quite okay, body size is big enough, but the shorter, bent limbs make it look a bit undersized with humans due to being overall lower and closer to the ground than your average horse.

Mick Darpa is currently working on the first two sets of human footknights. It's going to be a while yet before all of them are done, but I couldn't resist showing of these first two complete figures:

The weapons are separate to allow for some more variation in weapons. These will all have shields too.
