Products of Poundworld - the finished article
« on: September 24, 2010, 01:58:30 PM »
We have had many "heads up" about bargains to be had in various pound shops (dollar shops in US?). I just wanted to know what has happened to those 28mm houses we all bought in the spring, the dynosaur skeletons, the cheap cars, the diggers and excavators, the locomotives, the castles and submarines.

Has anyone got pictures of finished models or terrain pieces made from this stuff? I am sure it would be an inspiration - and interesting - to see the different ways the same raw material has been handled and finished.

Got anything to share?

I my case they are all sat in the cupboard awaiting a return to modelling.  Now I am on the mend I can finish the big board and then start a few little pieces over the winter.

Very nice!  Makes me think of the Tommyknockers book / movie.

Click on the Andrew Beasley link.  You will see a bloke looking down at an exposed 'spacecraft'. Really great idea. Which I intend to use.

yeah, seen that, just didn't think it was a spaceship...

If not a spacecraft then what.....?
Drains?

pipes, buried refinery, exposed bunker complex, archeotech... anything... a few pipes and tubes doesn't make a spaceship

I'll tell you all what it is:

Its mine - my precious, all mine I tells you!

I had no real idea what it was to represent but I imagined it as being a strange machine buried underground that has pushed up to the surface and ready to be explored or killed over  :)
