Is there any interest in a Cyberwolf?
« on: October 04, 2010, 10:18:17 PM »
Dear LAFers,

trying to support the MaxMini team, I'd like to have your opinions on this. They've this miniature available, but are unsure about releasing it.

The question is: is there a market? Would you buy it?

Hoping for your feedback :)
Thank you!

I think the large wolf market is somewhat over-saturated at the moment, Fenris wolves and all.

It IS a nice model, bug gods know what would happen if we bought every nice models we see!

I voted no. If it had been smaller I'd probably buy it but it's way too big for anything I play.

Nice mini but I have no use for it.

I'd like a couple for a very specific scenario but I wonder at its general appeal. Great figure, though.

It's a great looking figure, but not one that I could use.  A Space Wolf player on the other hand might want a few of these if the price is right.

Really avery nice mini, no questions.

But I'm not sure for a bigger market, except, as mentioned before, for some 40K players.

I for myself could maybe use one, because of my 1:35 WWW2 project, but I guess that would not be enough for a general release ;)

Depends also on the price!

"Available but not released" means I could get one but it's not official?

Unfortunately I'm not able to answer that. Przemas put the question and the pics up at the MaxMini forum and I just offered to ask for feedback here. He's also joined LAF a few weeks ago, so you might send a PM and ask him directly...

It would make a nice more ornament piece, but thinking of games is hard, its a shame its a smashing model.

I could see some possibilities - death world beast, weird war experiment, beast of Gebauvan, sci-fi experiment/pit gladiator opponent - but whether I'd buy it or not, I don't know...

I like the model itself and could find several uses for it, even at that large size, but the cost would probably be prohibitive for me. The alternative leg option means I could see it being useful for several space opera or hard SciFi scenarios and also in a Dr Moreau type VSF setting.

It's a shame but I wouldn't be able to buy one  :(
