More C17th/early C18th Highlanders from Warlord

Three new sets of ECW/late C17th/early C18th Highlanders from Warlord, good for Rob Roy type scenarios.







The Highland regulars are the most original of the lot. Dunno who sculpted these : Paul Hicks, maybe ?. The figures look characterful, but perhaps a tad too cartoonish for my taste - I'd have to see them in the flesh to pass proper judgement though.

Not my area of interest or expertise but i wouldn't have thought there would be a great deal of demand for 'highland regulars' save maybe for some Govt companies policing the highlands from the 1680s onward. Oh well, for the punter with a burning desire to do the Black Watch.....

The Highland regulars are actually quite useful for Montrose's 1645 campaign in Scotland as he had several Highland standing regiments in addition to his Irish companies and clan levies (Patrick Graham of Inchbrackie's and Donald Farquharson of Monaltrie's being the best and the most famous of the lot). .
