Any good River section tutorials?

I have a big jar of Vallejo water effects and have wanted to try to do something like this... but I don't have a lot of faith in my ability to make it work.

Believe me, there wasn't a lot of skill involved. Really a matter of squeezing the stuff on the river and then jabbing it around until it all pointed roughly in the same direction and looked approximately wavey. It all dries clear, so it's not that bad if some waves dry in a slightly different direction.
