I think that like most of the plastic figures, these were presented as a cheap alternative to metal. The details might be a little soft but, as your paint job show, they can look like decent models if done right.

Nice paintjob 8)

I saw this in person on Saturday.  If I already didn't have enough, I would have bought these.  Nice and inexpensive way to get a platoon on the table.

I have seen them at SELWG in person, and one of the problem that has cropped up in the unpainted pictures whas that the color was so light the details seemed inexistant.

I am already thingking what I can do with a box of these...

I hope you guys won't crucify me for asking  ;), but would these guys work next to old metal Cadians (from Games Workshop)?

I know GW figure are "heroic" 28mm, but I was planning on using this Russians as low-tech soldiers in a backward colony  ;D

And of course, these guys being "true" 28mm, won't match up with the "true" 25mm Valiant Minis. When will manufacturers come to agreement!?

Thank you for your comments.

Here is one comparison pic with some artizan miniatures. The right hand miniature is from Plastic Soldier Company too, is not finished yet.

agreed, i was pretty pleased when my box showed up, add the very light construction-work needed and it's quite a winner ;)

The painting on these really show how nice they are:)
