Kudos to Kidterminal for starting this thread! ;)

Here are some pictures of Rite Aid Cars I picked up today:

The figure is an Artizan Submarine Commander (the closest thing to a Fire Chief that I had on hand...)

Figure from Hasslefree
Damn Heldrak you've bested me with those two!! Now I'm going to have to hit the really big Rite Aid and the Walgreens with NYC licensed fire trucks and cop cars! Stay tuned for more sweet vehicles.

This hot rod says 1/54 on the bottom but it doesn't seem that much larger than the others. The figure is a converted Heroclix Ben Daimyo
Heldrak I consider this car to be way out of scale. Its as tall as the Hummer and it's a roadster!!! This is (in my opinion) the problem with 70% pf the cars sold at these pharmacies.

Scales really are all over the map with these-

The Fire Chief's car says 1/40 scale on the bottom but it seems to scale fine with the 1/43s. The Corvette and the Coupe both say 1/34 scale underneath, but the Coupe is the one that's really noticeable.

I got these for possible use with Atomic Cafe 1957 (if I ever get around to it) and I thought that the oversized Coupe might come in handy if I get a Brute (essentially an ogre-sized model).

I thought the Cadillacs looked a little small in the store, but they seem to scale up pretty well against the figures now that I have them at home.

This is a cheap toy maker and I don't think they really care what size they are when the design them. Yeah the fire chief is great but a little big. The Cadillacs & Hummers are the best for scale from the Rite Aid stuff I've seen. The Postal Van scales well with them too. I know its kind of fruitless by I like the get my vehicles to look right next to each other. Are you in NYC Heldrak? If you are I can point out some out of the way stores for this stuff.

Is Rite Aid anything like Flavor Aid? If so I'll have 20 kilos delivered to my jungle hideout in Guyana.

Nah, I'm in metropolitan Detroit. I feel the same way you do about scale, though. I like everything to be internally consistent on the tabletop scale-wise (often manufacturer-wise, if I can help it). I'll be interested in seeing those NYC Police & Fire vehicles if you decide to add them to your collection.

I've got that one and a Rite-Aid police Hummer.  The police Hummer is a tad too big, but the mcdonalds one is a tad too small.  Although the Happy meal one will likely get more use from me.  I couldn't find any of the classic cars at my rite-aids.  However, my local train store carries true-scale 1/43 del prados for 5.99.  That Corvette is way too big though.
This is my boomstick!

My original intent in getting some Rite Aid vehicles was to stock up for Atomic Cafe 1957 (if I ever get around to it). Since then, I've been bitten by the Pulp City bug and I realized that I would need some vehicles for my Supers to chuck at each other. That being the case...:

The aforementioned Police Hummer (with Copplestone Detective for scale):

Civilian Hummer (with Heroclix Ben Daimyo making a return appearance):

All the other modern cars I saw there today looked a little big in scale (1/38, 1/30 etc.).

Grrrr The Rite Aid by me had these up front by the counter and I kept telling myself that I would pick some up next time I was up there, well went in to actually get some and they no longer had them. I really wanted to get one of the VW vans with the white sides and blue top to turn into a Dharma Initiative VW van from Lost. Also wanted to pick up some of the Police Cars and Ambulances they also had. I might try the other Rite Aid about a mile down the road in the opposite direction.

My son has the police Hummer. When he's outgrown it you can be sure it will show up on the Tabletop!

Given the ground clearance of a Hummer (and the fact that you practically need a ladder to get into one), those look alright to me. In addition to height, the main thing I look at when determining appropriate scale is "Does it look like the figure would fit comfortably behind the wheel as driver" and on that basis, these look OK to me.

I agree with Heldrak they look the part even though they are a tad large. Now if you've stood next to one in real life you'd know that this it the right feel. Those things are seem huge and I'm 6'7".  lol

Saw a nice sized police cruiser at a Duane Reade will post a pic if its still there when I go back this weekend.
