Well hello gentlemen
« on: 04 November 2010, 06:53:08 PM »
I have enjoyed the lovely work produced by quite a few of the forum members here for some time. While my primary wargaming interests are more fantasy-based (and thoroughly un-serious), my love of history is perhaps more in line with the times and areas more popular on this board. I must say I love your collection of smilies.

While I was content to read passively, I registered in the hopes of picking a few brains here when it comes to questions I can't seem to find elsewhere. I dearly hope no one will find this to be a presumptuous imposition (a newly registered user, with little to contribute of his own asking for help), but I hope it will only be a simple question from time to time.

Actually, to start, I had a forum-related question: I attempted to upload an avatar of my own (see below), but it does not seem to work. I have read the new user's page and Forum Rules and didn't seem to find anything concerning it, so if there's an easy fix, just let me know. Otherwise, this fellow will do nicely (No Shackleton in the arctic explorers list? For shame  :'( )

Thanks and hello!

(it's only 6kb and matches the 80 x 80 standard size, so I'm not sure what else I can fix)

I joined my gun with pirate swords, and sailed the seas of cyberspace.

The friendliness and politeness of the posters certainly did stand out in my passive reading.  8)

Welcome to the LAF!
I think I read something about avatar uploading problems on another thread, so my proposal would be to send the pic to the LAF Boss, Prof. Witchheimer. He'll take care of it :)

A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://tistaminis.com/
