Hello there! Here's a Reaper mini I painted about three years ago.

Pulled it out recently, as I've come to the realisation that I seem to have a penchant for not finishing bases...

This was the first animal I painted, which was a few months after I started painting. What do you think?

PP from the small pics it looks bloody nice....but as Akula said larger pictures would make judgements and helpful hints easier.

Nice colour.  One thing though.  Horses' hooves are always 'colour-coded' to their body colour so dark horses have dark hooves and light horses, light hooves.  You should change yours to a tan or light brown to be more accurate.  They're just a little too obtrusive as they stand.

I should be a little more precise about that rule, actually.  If a horse has 'socks' on its feet, that will change the hoof colour as well.  For example, if a bay horse has a white sock on one foot, there will be three dark hooves and a light hoof on the socked leg.  The reverse is true for a light coloured horse with a dark sock.

But I thought real Pegasi were white...

That makes sense! Thanks for this info, I never really thought about horses with socks. Might try that on some of my other pegasi...

Haha true, but since GW has a particular fascination with grey pegasi, I thought I'd try something different
