The Lead in Leadworth

It's a remarkable fact that many gaming miniatures, though designed and sold for entirely different purposes can be pressed into service as Doctor Who figures with an appropriate paint job and maybe a little putty.

This thread will show my attempts to do that for the latest series, story by story.  Apologies in advance for the crudity of the putty work and the photography (the painting isn't quite as poor as it appears, honestly).

I particularly like the second photo, great conversions on Amy and Rory.

Also why the white V on the bases. Is it just for the figures facing?

I love the Rory conversions! I am very impressed by everything actually. I had the same idea for using that model for the Queen. Excellent execution. And where is the River Song model originally from?

  Lovely stuff! I planned to do the same thing (story by story) for all the new series, but have so far only go as far as painting two doctors, Rose, K9 and the Tardis... Any chance of a list of what minis were from where? (I can pick out the Crooked Dice and Hasslefree ones, but I'm a bit nonplussed as to the rest...)

Lupus, the TARDIS is a diecast from the Sci-Fi Collector's Centre, repainted a bit - it comes in a box with an out-of-scale Dalek Sec for £10.

Malamute, yes, the triangles are just facing markers.  I haven't actually got games in mind for most of these (yet), but it keeps them consistent with the rest of my collection.

Chairface, River Song is converted from "PLP040 Lily" in Artizan's Thrilling Tales range.
