NEWS FLASH: Latest account from the shores of Atlantis!
« on: November 10, 2010, 07:40:32 AM »
EXTRA!                EXTRA!                READ ALL ABOUT IT!
A remarkable account from the very eyes of the renowned explorer, Lord Iolanthe Agamemnon Reginald Ponsonby, has arrived courtesy of the magnanimous Empe Editor in Chief of the Jumbuck Times, Mr. *cough* Rupert Grundy.

It is an impressive tale sure to have your hairs stand on end, as Lord Ponsonby takes you through sweltering jungles, to the snow-capped peaks of the ancient land of Atlantis.

Be the first to read it by taking home your very own copy today!

(Please be patient with the rather experimental method of aether-web delivery. Direct any comments, requests or complaints to your local stockist*.)

As a special offer to our glorious readership, The Jumbuck Times includes a one-time special, weekend fold-out of a replica map penned by the hand of Lord Ponsonby himself!

Be sure to ask your local purveyor of fine Grundy publications for the next installment of Lord Ponsonby's grand adventure.

Very nicely done indeed!

A great read and beautiful cartography skills.

So is this for your Pulp game?!?!?  :?

I'm confused and excited.

No, this is for the Worldwide Atlantis campaign (there's a sticky above, hope that's easily understood!). I have been helping Red Orc with the visuals to his incredible background material!

EDIT: Just checking to make sure the .pdf is easily accessed? I couldn't think of anywhere else to host it.

I had a problem at first, but my computer is made of string, chewing gum and faith.

Presumably everyone else successfully downloaded it?

If you could use anything other than rapidshare-type downloading service, that would be much preferred.

I dunno, where does one host PDFs? This is new territory for me (and I suspect Christian too), does anyone have any good suggestions about where this can go so it's easily accessible?

Map looks nice! Can't access the pdf though. Rapid share tells me to become pro or beat it.

Okay gents, apologies about the file. I have changed the link in the original post and it should download straight away! And we can all thank Painting Princess for coming up with that one!

Hope to hear everyone's feedback soon. It's a top read, the great thing is that the history of Atlantis is being shaped by the battle reports people have been posting up. So we're going for an interactive campaign as best as possible!

I don't think there were any games running in Australia... yet! RedOrc would have a better idea.

Thanks for all the kind comments guys, I think Christian's done a great job both with the map and the newspaper.

Greywolf - yes you can still get involved. PM me and we'll see if we can set something up, and that goes for anyone else who wants to get involved too. There's no time limit on the campaign at the moment, if people are still interested, I'll keep things running, and you never know, Christian will hopeful turn my horrible-looking maps and deranged witterings into works of art.
